LINKXAR MAGAZINE
What we’re looking for
We cover a variety of topics but the most popular general topics are business, economy, technology, marketing and startups.
You may submit a rough draft, a partial draft, or a short pitch paired with an outline. The more complete your article is, the better feedback we can give you. Keep in mind that we only accept original content.
Before you submit, make sure your article:
– is accurate and factual; this is the most important rule.
– has a thesis and offers a clear argument.
– has a voice. Be bold, interesting, and human.
– is written for a wide audience.
– is written by you with none of it plagiarized from somewhere else.
– is supported with convincing arguments, not just opinions. Fact-check, and cite sources where appropriate.
We publish articles of anywhere between 400 to 2,500 words; this depends on a number of factors. 700 to 1,000 words is about average.
How to submit
Send your articles to magazine@linkxar.com. We prefer submissions as MS Word documents so that editors can easily provide feedback and guidance. You may also send us a plaintext file, a Markdown file, or a link to an HTML document. (Please do not send a ZIP file of assets unless requested by an editor)
Here’s what happens after you hit Send:
An editor will review your article and determine whether it’s a potential fit. If so, the whole team will review and discuss it. This normally happens once a week.
The editor will collect the team’s feedback and get back to you with notes – we rarely accept an article the first time around, but we will tell you if we are interested. Once you have addressed our comments, send your revised draft back. The team will discuss it again and let you know if we want to accept it.
We will schedule you for publication as soon as revisions are complete. We cannot give you a specific publication date until the article is almost ready to go live.
We receive a lot of articles, so sometimes it takes us a while to get back to you; so be patient in waiting for a response. Please note that only shortlisted submissions will be contacted for a feedback. If you are not contacted within 1 month following your submission, you can assume your submission has not been retained on this occasion.
